This is one of the most specialized parts of LMO services, although it constitutes only about 4 percent of the entire activities of LMO. In a multitude of cases, especially unnatural deaths due to accidents homicide suicide, and sudden death, issuing the burial permit and death certificate are among LMO's duties. It means that, in such cases forensic medicine experts should determine the cause of death through examination, autopsy, lab tests and for other means, to prevent any loss of rights of the deceased or unfounded accusation of innocent people.
